Hi!  I am Mary and I am the owner of Move Your Body Fitness.  I began my fitness journey five years ago with my first Zumba® Fitness class.  I immediately became a "Zumba Addict".  After a year of being a student, my class and instructor encouraged me to become a licensed Zumba® Fitness instructor.  That was one of the best decisions of my life.  I have been instructing for over four years and love every minute of it.  I have met some amazing people and have lost over 90 lbs. with healthy eating and consistent exercise.  My classes are fun and will leave you full of energy.  

I wanted to share my passion and love for fitness with my community and
​                                                                decided to create Move Your Body Fitness.  MYB offers a variety of fitness
                                                                classes.  I welcome you to try us out!  Ditch the Workout, Join the Party!!!!!

Zumba®, Zumba® Toning, Strong by Zumba™
I started taking Zumba® classes with my mom (Mary Rider) and immediately fell in love.  Zumba® is one of my favorite pastimes and I love learning new songs. I am CPR and  First Aid certified. Just because I'm young doesn't mean I don't know how to make you sweat! I keep a positive attitude and my bright smile will make you want to dance.

I fell in love with Zumba® Fitness classes in 2011 and have been addicted ever since. For the first time, working out was exciting and didn’t feel like a chore (it’s amazing by how quickly an hour flies by during a Zumba® class!

Soon, I found myself following my favorite instructors to various gyms and taking several classes a week. At that point, I decided to become a licensed instructor myself so that I could share the passion with others! I focus on making my class fun, high-energy, and easy to follow, to appeal to all fitness levels. Come shake it with me!

Yoga
I was first introduced to yoga about 20 years ago through a friend who was teaching free yoga in college. It wasn’t until about four years ago, that I was reintroduced and began practicing Ashtanga for a much needed physical activity.  It led to a love of yoga and desire to share that love with others.  In early 2013, I received my 200 hour RYT. My original inspiration to become a certified yoga teacher was to give back to my community through yoga as my service.  Through years of practice I’ve come to know and believe
                                                yoga is for everybody.  I love to share the joy of yoga because yoga opens the doors of 
                                                belief that we are all capable to do and be more than we ever imagined through practice. 
                                                It is not about how your Warrior II pose looks, it is what you feel with your body and mind
                                                in the pose of Warrior II that opens a world of possibilities.  Be amazed and be amazing!  
                                                It’s the small things can inspire you and also allow you to be an inspiration to others.

​My name is Jackie and I love to dance! Zumba has been a part of my life since 2008 when I purchased the DVDs.  I loved the music and had fun “exercising”.  In August 2009, I attended my first live class and was hooked. The energy was addicting.  I started out in the very back row and could barely get through a whole class without stopping.  Over time, I worked my way to the front and eventually onto the stage as an instructor! I became a licensed instructor in December 2012. There is nothing that brings me more joy than to teach a class and see the look of pure happiness on the face of my students! No matter how bad my day has been Zumba always makes it better!

Zumba®​, Strong by Zumba™, ACE Certified Group Fitness Instructor & Personal Trainer
I guess you could say Zumba was "love at first class" for me!  The energy in class is contagious!  I found myself looking forward to each and every Zumba class, fitting them in whenever I possibly could.  I was hooked!  

I have always had a passion for fitness, so in 2016 I decided to become certified in group fitness through the American Council on Exercise and CPR.  In addition, I obtained my Zumba license as well as a license to teach Strong by Zumba.  I believe in the importance of switching up your exercise regimen, therefore I absolutely love teaching both of these very different Zumba formats!

I never thought burning calories could be so much fun!  Every class is full of positivity and support and I look forward to being a part of your fitness routine!

I started coming to Move Your Body Fitness back in 2014, and something sparked in me after my first week of taking the classes offered here. I got the exercise bug, and it hasn’t left me yet. I have never been a fan of big gyms, or the intimidating and unwelcoming atmosphere that seems to go hand in hand with them. MYB provided such a different experience, that it was hard not to continue to come to class after class. The men and women who come to this studio are so genuine, unique, and provide wonderful encouragement with ZERO JUDGEMENT! I was so motivated by the instructors at MYB, that they made me want to be the source of motivation for others in their fitness journey. Since 2015, I’ve become certified in Zumba®, Barre Intensity, and Strong by Zumba™! Helping people has always been a passion of mine, and teaching group fitness allows me to do that in a fun and encouraging atmosphere. As long as everyone leaves my class a sweaty mess, then I’ve done my job!  ​
